Albertsons to shutter Roseburg store

Albertsons Cos. informed state officials on Wednesday that it will be closing a Roseburg store in February, resulting in the loss of 87 jobs.

The grocery chain, which also owns Safeway, is based in Boise and said it informed the staff of the shop at 3013 N.W. Stewart Parkway about its closure plans on Friday. According to Albertsons, certain staff members might stay on the job after the store closes on or before February 8.
