After 3 rounds of voting, the Portland school board has a new member

Christy Splitt, a longtime supporter of education, state government employee, and Hayhurst Elementary School PTA executive board member, was named to the Portland Public Schools board on Monday.

After leaving his previous residence in Southwest Portland, former board member Andrew Scott resigned, leaving Splitt to take his place. She has stated that she intends to run in May to fill the final two years of Scott’s term, and she will hold the seat until at least June 30.
