Portland Timbers’ star named to 2024 MLS Best XI

Evander, a great attacker for the Portland Timbers, became a member of an exclusive group on Tuesday.

The league revealed the forward’s inclusion on the 2024 MLS Best XI on Tuesday morning. Evander is only the third player in the club’s history to get the honor of being selected to the league’s Best XI.

Evander has the second-highest goal contributions (goals, assists) of any MLS player (34), finishing the 2024 season with 15 goals and a league-high 19 assists. He helped the Timbers set new single-season club records with 19 assists and 34 goals.

Evander is the latest Portland Timbers player to be nominated to the Best XI, joining club veteran Diego Valeri and current Timbers star Diego Chara (2020).
