A pedestrian who was hit by a car in a Portland crosswalk and broke their leg filed a $1.17 million lawsuit against the city on Tuesday, blaming it for a malfunctioning light that they claim might have avoided the collision before dawn.
According to the lawsuit, CJ Thompson also blames Donna Farrell, the driver, for calling 911 to report that she hadn’t noticed Thompson because there wasn’t enough light.
