One of Oregon’s best football players has renounced his promise.
Central Catholic lineman Zac Stascausky switched his pledge from the Huskies to the Ducks just one day after Oregon defeated rival Washington 49–21.
Stascausky announced the news on his Instagram on Sunday.
Stascausky is a four-star commit, according to Per247Sports. The 6-foot-6 lineman is ranked as the nation’s 19th best offensive tackle and the top recruit in Oregon’s class of 2025.
In August, Stascausky had already committed to Washington. He had been verbally committed to Minnesota before to then.
Stascausky won the Mt. Hood Conference Offensive Player of the Year award this year and has been selected to the first team all-Mt. Hood Conference twice.
As a junior, he was also selected to the first team all-state.
Stascausky played varsity football for Central Catholic for three years, helping the Rams to the 2023 Class 6A state championship with a combined record of 34-3.
