Police ID 2 men who died after fatal double crash in SW Portland

The names of the two men died in a deadly double crash in Southwest Portland that injured a third person on Wednesday were made public by police on Saturday.

Around 9:21 p.m., Evan C. Hadlock, 31, his brother David C. Hadlock, 32, and a third backseat passenger were traveling south on Southwest Barbur Boulevard close to Terwilliger Boulevard when they collided with another vehicle, according to a statement from the Portland Police Bureau.

According to authorities, Evan and David Hadlock died after all three were taken to the hospital with severe injuries; the driver of the other vehicle was not gravely hurt.

According to the police, Evan Hadlock’s intoxication may have had a role in the collision.

Police said the event is still being investigated and that no arrests were made during the Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team’s assessment of the scene.

Evan and David Hadlock are the 62nd and 63rd individuals to lose their lives in a traffic-related event this year, respectively, according to PPB data.
