— To start the Broncos drive, Jeanty is bottled up in the backfield. After a drop, Madsen connects with Bolt on a 17-yard throw on third and eleven. He makes a deep throw for Camper, but it falls short. After receiving the carry, Jeanty advances the pile for a nine-point gain. Madsen leaps forward for the first down, just past midfield, on third and one. Madsen picks up nine after rolling right and keeping it. At the moment, the Beavers have little response to the Boise State offense. Jeanty maneuvers forward to get a first down. For three yards, Jeanty runs. Five more are gained with a pass to Camper. Jeanty moves to the right, runs through a space up the middle, and takes it all the way to the end zone for a touchdown on third and two. However, the touchdown is nullified and the down will be replayed due to offsetting penalties. He takes the first down when Jeanty gets it again. Madsen throws incomplete to the end zone. Jeanty gets stopped for no gain. Madsen throws incomplete, and Boise State will try a field goal. The 44-yard kick is good, and the Broncos extend their lead to 24-7 with 7:34 to play in the third quarter.
