Late Wednesday, a traffic accident in Southwest Portland claimed the lives of two men and seriously injured a passenger in the same vehicle.
Just after 9 p.m., according to Portland police, a blue Toyota Sienna van minivan turning left onto Terwilliger Boulevard was struck by a green 1997 Honda Civic heading south on Barbur Boulevard.
At a hospital, the guys in the Civic’s front seats passed away. A man in the rear seat was admitted to the hospital. The Sienna’s driver was unharmed.
Neither the names of the individuals involved in the collision nor if the reason of the collision had been determined by the inquiry were made public by the police.
The individuals died in the collision are the 62nd and 63rd people to die in Portland traffic this year, according to the Portland Police Bureau’s record. Less than twenty-four hours later, the 64th was killed in an accident in Northeast Portland.
