DALLAS — The search for 88-year-old Ms. Myrtle Polk, who was last seen on June 8th on the 1100 block of Indian Creek Trail, has intensified. Her disappearance has deeply affected the Singing Hills Community, where she is a beloved figure.
Ms. Polk, a retired DISD teacher with over 40 years of service and a devoted church member for more than 30 years, has been missing for two weeks. With temperatures soaring to 100 degrees in Dallas, the urgency to find her has increased. Authorities have been using search teams, drones, and search dogs, but there have been no significant leads. Residents are encouraged to check their security cameras for any clues and contact the police with any information.
On Sunday night, friends, family, and community members, dressed in white, gathered on Ms. Polk’s front lawn for a candlelight vigil. They prayed for her safe return and expressed their hope and resilience. Her son, Philip Polk, conveyed a message of optimism, urging his mother not to give up and reminding her that everyone loves her and is waiting for her to come home.
