Oregon child killer Diane Downs appeals sentence, citing court rulings on nonunanimous verdicts

Diane Downs, the well-known child killer, contested several of her 40-year-old convictions this year, claiming court decisions that ruled split verdicts to be illegal.

Downs filed her claim in Marion County Circuit Court earlier this year. She was given a life sentence and is currently detained at the Central California Women’s Facility.
