One restaurant in Oregon was included in the Top 100 restaurants for 2024 list published by reservation platform OpenTable.
A well-known Portland landmark would be expected to be on a list of the year’s 100 top restaurants, but this is not the case.
According to the OpenTable rating, Oregon’s only restaurant is Newberg’s Rosmarino Osteria Italiana, a quaint Italian trattoria located in the Willamette Valley wine country.
The downtown Newberg trattoria serves both lunch and supper, with a five-course wine pairing dinner on some evenings and an a la carte menu on others. The fixed-price wine pairing menu is available on Fridays and Saturdays, while the a la carte selections are available on Thursdays and Mondays.
On Sundays, the restaurant is open as well. Pizza and gnocchi are available all day on the Sunday-only menu, which definitely catches our eye.

Weekly adjustments are made to the prix fixe wine matching menu. According to the restaurant’s website, Friday night meals are co-hosted with nearby winemakers, and Saturday is Italian Wine Night, where [owner] Dario tells stories while the food is served.
A half-glass of wine is served with each of the five courses, which costs $150 per person.
Classic dishes from Italian restaurants, such as pasta pomodoro, lasagna, risotto, and pappardelle with wild boar ragu, are available à la carte.

Rosmarino Osteria receives excellent reviews on Yelp, Google Reviews, and OpenTable.
