St. Helens principal accused of failing to report alleged sex abuse, indicted on official misconduct, criminal mistreatment charges

The principal of St. Helens High School was charged with six counts of indictment by a Columbia County grand jury on Tuesday for neglecting to disclose alleged sexual abuse involving two instructors and failing to provide for the pupils under her supervision.

Katy Wagner is charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment, both felonies, and two counts of first-degree official misconduct and second-degree official misconduct, both misdemeanors, in the unusual indictment of a high school principle.
