According to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a Beaverton man was taken into custody Monday morning after he allegedly hit his grandfather in the head with a baseball bat.
At 10:31 a.m., deputies were called to a disturbance near the 17000 block of Northwest Joscelyn Street involving a weapon report. According to deputies, Peter Stine, a 26-year-old caller, informed dispatchers he had struck his grandfather.
Deputies reported that they discovered Stine’s grandfather suffering from significant head injuries. According to the sheriff’s office, he is expected to live after being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
On charges of attempted murder, first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon, Stine was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.
