A different Black Friday deal: Oregon offers free fishing next Friday, Saturday

After feeding friends and family with Thanksgiving fare, are you looking for something to do?

Go fishing. Dig a clam. Catch a crab.

Next Friday and Saturday, November 29–30, are free in Oregon. Neither a license nor tags are necessary.

Both locals and visitors are welcome to attend the days. Simply follow the standard season dates and restrictions.

Additionally, Washington has approved several days of razor clam digging on its ocean beaches, including Long Beach, starting Friday, even though the state won’t be providing the same this weekend.

While Washington chooses restricted digging and requires licenses, Oregon’s north beaches are accessible twenty-four hours a day, and on Friday and Saturday, diggers are free on Clatsop beaches.
