Robert Williams III, the backup center for the Portland Trail Blazers, suffered a right knee injury during Saturday night’s 114-98 loss to Minnesota and did not return.
After grabbing four boards and six points in less than eight minutes, Williams hurt his right knee in the second quarter.
According to Blazers coach Chauncey Billups, “I think he just came down, kind of funny,” she told reporters. The diagnosis and other details are unknown to me. However, we simply thought it wouldn’t be healthy to play him any more.
Williams missed 76 games due to an injury to his right knee early in the previous season. This season, he has played in 19 of 33 games.
Recently, Billups expressed his satisfaction that Williams had not missed any time because of his right knee. His right hand pain, sickness, and hamstring injury were the main reasons he missed games.
Additionally, Williams does not participate in both back-to-back games.
