Snow causes school delays in Oregon, SW Washington early Wednesday

Some schools in the Portland/Vancouver area are starting the day two hours late due to light snowfall, and bus service for students has been adjusted.

Snow accumulation is more likely to occur at schools outside of the metro region because Wednesday will see a lot of showery precipitation.

Mt. Hood Community College, Banks, Canby, Colton, and Estacada are among the later-starting institutions. Later on Wednesday, school districts in the Coast Range will also begin operations.

The graphic below shows the full list of reporting schools. As of Wednesday at 6 a.m., some schools might still be making decisions. Return frequently.
