In an attempt to drastically raise the amount of money collected from property owners to support city parks and recreation services, Portland officials have put a stop to putting a planned ballot proposal on the ballot this spring.
Elana Pirtle-Guiney, president of the Portland City Council, told The Oregonian/OregonLive on Tuesday that any such measure, which parks officials maintain is necessary to maintain current service levels, will have to wait until November.
