Portland rapper indicted in club shooting while on federal supervision for gun possession as felon

After serving four years in federal prison for possessing a stolen firearm as a felon, a Portland man was released in February 2023. He has since been charged with attempted murder and assault in connection with a shooting that occurred in a nightclub in Eugene in December.

In the Dec. 8 shooting inside the City Nights club, 39-year-old Desmond Boris Washington was charged in Lane County Circuit Court with attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, third-degree assault, unauthorized use of a handgun, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
