The rescue was captured on tape after a backcountry skier was hurt in a 1,000-foot fall in the Washington woods.
According to a YouTube video posted on January 24, the King County Sheriff’s Office Air Support Unit stated that the incident occurred on January 22 in the vicinity of Stevens Pass.
According to deputies, someone used an Apple Watch to send an SOS message to police after the skier hurt his leg in a steep fall and needed assistance.
Later, authorities discovered that three individuals required rescue, two of whom were hurt, according to deputies.
After obtaining their coordinates, rescuers dispatched a helicopter to locate them.
After 7:30 p.m., a rescuer is seen on camera being lifted from the helicopter to the skiers.
According to deputies, the rescuer assists the skiers in being lifted into the aircraft.
From Seattle, Stevens Pass is around an 85-mile trip northeast.
