The Portland Trail Blazers will welcome Damian Lillard and the Milwaukee Bucks at the Moda Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for their first attempt at sweeping an opponent this season.
The Blazers, who defeated the Bucks 105-102 on January 4, have not yet faced a team they had already defeated in every match.
The Blazers will host the Orlando Magic on Thursday night, which will be their next chance to sweep an opponent. Last week at Orlando, Portland defeated the Magic 101-79.
Since Lillard was traded to Milwaukee prior to the 2023–24 season, the Blazers have a 2-1 record against the Bucks.
The Bucks may be in a strong position to lose Tuesday because it’s their third game in four nights.
On Monday night, they defeated Utah 125-105, with Damian Lillard leading the way with 35 points and eight assists. Two days prior to that victory, the Bucks had suffered a 127-117 loss to the LA Clippers.
Prediction: The Blazers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 118-108 on Sunday after winning four straight games, while the Bucks are currently on a difficult road trip.
The Blazers should be able to handle what might be a worn-out Bucks squad if they perform as they did against the Thunder.
