Skier dies after hitting tree in southern Oregon ski resort

At southern Oregon’s Mt. Ashland Ski Area, a 76-year-old man passed away on Friday morning while skiing.

The man, who was skiing on a particularly difficult trail when he struck a tree, was not identified by the ski resort authorities. The resort claims that the skier was wearing a helmet at the time of his death.
