Update: Wind advisory affecting Central Douglas County until Sunday morning

The National Weather Service revised their wind advisory for Central Douglas County on Saturday at 1:02 p.m., and it will remain in force until Sunday at 10 a.m.

As stated by the meteorological service, “Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph expected.”

“Unprotected skin exposed to these temperatures will suffer from frostbite and hypothermia. Unsecured objects will be blown around by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. “As much as possible, keep pets inside. Driving in such severe winds can be challenging, particularly for cars with a prominent profile. Be especially careful.
