The National Weather Service issued an updated cold weather advisory for Central Douglas County on Saturday at 1:02 p.m., which will remain in force until Sunday at 10 a.m.
Forecasters predict “Very cold temperatures as low as 15 degrees expected.”
“Unprotected skin exposed to these temperatures will suffer from frostbite and hypothermia. Unsecured objects will be blown around by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, “a few power outages may result and tree limbs could be blown down.” “As much as possible, keep pets inside. Driving in such severe winds can be challenging, particularly for cars with a prominent profile. Be especially careful.
