Wind advisory issued for Eastern Douglas County Foothills until Sunday morning

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Eastern Douglas County Foothills on Friday at 12:11 p.m., which was in effect from 10 p.m. until Sunday at 10 a.m.

As stated by the meteorological service, “East winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph expected.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. There could be a few power outages and tree branches being blown down. According to the weather service, exposing exposed skin to these temperatures will result in frostbite and hypothermia. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. As much as possible, keep pets inside.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
