After missing five games due to a left ankle injury, rookie center Donovan Clinganis of the Portland Trail Blazers is labeled as probable for Friday night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets.
The Blazers, who will be without backup Robert Williams III due to right hand soreness and starter center Deandre Ayton due to knee pain, will greatly benefit from this development.
Williams helped the team defeat the Orlando Magic 101-79 on Thursday night by scoring eight points, grabbing 12 rebounds, and blocking four shots.
Ayton, who finished Tuesday night’s victory over the Miami Heat with 22 points and 15 rebounds, will miss his second game.
Additionally likely are forward Toumani Camara (illness) and guard Anfernee Simons (lower back pain). They both performed at the Magic.
Moving forward Kris Murray, who played for the Magic, is listed as questionable due to a chest injury.
