The identity of the guy who was shot dead by Salem police officers on Wednesday has been made public by the Oregon State Police.
Around 11:30 a.m., Shawn Lee Baker, 42, tried to escape from the officers near the 3200 block of River Road North when he was shot, according to a statement from the Oregon State Police.
