Oregon summer camp at risk of closing after 100 years promises 2025 season, but sheds 80 jobs

This summer, a 100-year-old youth camp in Clackamas County will remain open thanks to a crucial infusion of funding, but Camp Namanu is far from being saved.

The nonprofit organization has raised $440,000 since early November, according to newly hired Executive Director Gina Sprout Sanders, which is enough to welcome a full enrollment of children back for another summer filled with rock climbing, swimming, archery, arts and crafts, and lots of campfire music.
