Update: Air stagnation advisory affecting South Central Oregon Coast until Friday midday

The National Weather Service issued an updated air stagnation advisory at 10:36 p.m. on Tuesday in effect until Friday at noon for South Central Oregon Coast.

The weather service says, “Poor air quality will continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants.”

“Poor air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory problems. Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous,” comments the weather service. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. Persons with respiratory illness should follow their physicians advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air.”

Advance Local Weather Alerts is a service provided by United Robots, which uses machine learning to compile the latest data from the National Weather Service.
