In Oregon, they can purchase anything from 800 acres in Chiloquin for $6.3 million to a luxurious farmstead in the Scappoose Mountains that was created by a special operations Army helicopter pilot for $1,599,999. Additionally, a hunting cabin on 10 acres near Eagle Point with a detached outhouse is for sale for $180,000.

$6.3 million for 800 acres
With three hydro-turbine systems, solar panels, battery banks, and other power-providing elements, this 800-acre Chiloquin property for sale runs entirely off the grid.
According to brokers Garrett Zoller and Timothy O. Neil of Land and Wildlife, who offered the property for sale at $6.3 million, there is also a powerful well and three distinct dwellings at Mile Nfg 49 with access to the Wiliamson River.
According to the brokers, it’s simply breathtakingly lovely, from the tranquility of the isolated, off-grid position to the tastefully renovated and kept buildings, functional cattle facilities, upscale water and electricity resources, and breathtaking views.
$4.5 million for 708 acres
Part of a 708-acre property outside Ashland that is for sale for $4.5 million includes an off-grid cabin that is completely furnished with solar electricity and a generator.
In addition, the rural property features two wells at 2700 N. Valley View Road, 8,000 feet of frontage along Myer Creek, and an 8,880-square-foot residence.
The site is categorized as exclusive farm use (EFU) and consists of seven tax lots, where elk roam, according to Chris Martin, a broker with LandLeader in Medford.

$1.6 million for 16 acres
A special ops Army helicopter pilot and his Navy veteran wife created a 16.39-acre, fully self-sufficient property at 55450 Littlebird Way in Scappoose with the goals of solitude, security, fire suppression, and sustainable living.
According to Kris Sholes of More Realty and Lance Sholes of Sholes NW Properties, who advertised the property at $1,599,999, the new owners will be independent thanks to the property’s own water source, solar electricity, and a large amount of space for farming and enjoyment.
The 3,037-square-foot home features a pizza oven, high-end equipment, and soaring ceilings. A separate yurt with an aboveground pool and a wood-burning hot tub is close by. $600,000 for 80 acres
Located on 80 off-grid acres with vistas of Cave Mountain and Sugar Mountain, Kelly Creek Lane is the site of a former miner’s homestead in New Pine Creek.
According to Rich Bradbury, a broker with High Country Real Estate, who listed the property for $600,000, it features a 1,332-square-foot cabin, an artist’s workshop heated by a wood burner, and an upgraded solar array.
$180,000 for 10 acres
For $180,000, cash only, a hunting cabin on 10 acres without electricity or water is up for sale. The Dixon hunting unit’s detached outhouse and off-grid shelter are located behind private, secured gates.
Elk, deer, bears, cougars, and other wildlife can be found on the property located at TL2205 Elk Creek Road in Eagle Point, close to the Rogue River and Lost Creek Lake.
According to listing broker Garrett Zoller of Land and Wildlife, the prospective buyer is interested in wild game or bugging out and is searching for a very quiet and isolated recreational property.
