Portland TrailblazersDuring Saturday night’s 125-103 loss to the Houston Rockets at the Moda Center, Jerami Grant made his comeback after missing nine games due to a facial contusion.
After starting and playing less than twenty-five minutes, Grant finished with three turnovers, four rebounds, and seven points on two of seven shots.
“I feel good,” remarked Grant. If we had won, I’m sure I would have felt a little better. However, I feel good about myself.
Guard Kyrie Irving accidentally elbowed Grant during a home victory over the Dallas Mavericks on December 28.
Grant remarked, “I just got hit in the face.”
There was no concussion from the play.
Grant remarked, “Just a lot of pain.”
The soreness and pain persisted.
According to Grant, things were a little twisted up. but attempting to pick it up and return. minor obstacles and other problems. And after a while, I improved.
Grant, who came into the game averaging 15 points and 3.6 rebounds per game, has been missed by the Blazers’ offense. He needs to return to his true nature now.
Chauncey Billups, coach of the Blazers, stated, “I thought Jeremi played well.” I think he really helped us on the glass, which is what I’m constantly kind of pushing and urging Jeremi to be better at, even if he was kind of easing himself back.
Grant also performed well defensively, according to Billups, particularly when he was a member of Houston guard Jalen Green, who scored 26 points more than any other player in the Rockets’ history.
According to Billups, however, (Jerami’s) minutes on him were excellent. Only when Jeremi wasn’t on him did (Green) truly get loose.
