Due to a left ankle injury, Portland Trail Blazers rookie center Donovan Clingan departed the game late in the fourth quarter against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday.
With 1:15 left in the Blazers’ 132-114 loss to the Nets at the Moda Center, Clingan attempted to block a shot but fell awkwardly to the ground.
Under his own strength, Clingan stood up and hobbled off the court and into the tunnel to the locker room.
Blazers coach Chauncey Billups acknowledged Clingan’s ankle injury during the game, but he added, “I’m not sure how severe it is.”
