Portland Trail Blazers vs. Brooklyn Nets: Game preview, prediction, time, TV channel

The Portland Trail Blazers, who haven’t been much favored this season, are five points ahead of the Brooklyn Nets going into their home game on Tuesday.

Given that the Nets have nine players on their injury list (see below), it makes sense.

Trendon Watford, a former Blazers forward, is not on that list. Keon Johnson, a former guard with the Blazers, is available.

Despite averaging 16.1 minutes in 13 appearances, Watford has missed 13 games. He had an average of 2.8 rebounds and 8.2 points. Johnson, who averaged 8.4 points and 3.4 rebounds, was a part of the 2023 trade that brought Deandre Ayton from Phoenix.

Johnson averaged 14.5 points per game in his previous 11 outings.

After Monday’s practice, Blazers coach Chauncey Billups expressed his satisfaction with seeing both players advance in their careers.

He stated, “I still talk to those guys.” I continue to support them and reach out to them. Both of them are doing nicely.

Prediction: Watford and Cam Thomas are among the important players the Nets will be missing. Furthermore, some of the people on the problematic list may sit just as easily. One would assume that the Blazers would win this game. However, the fancied Blazers lost to Utah, who were playing without Lauri Markkanen, at home back in December. Let’s stick with the Blazers in this case, though.
