Weather alert for freezing rain in Upper Hood River Valley Friday morning

The National Weather Service reported freezing rain in the Upper Hood River Valley through 10 a.m. on Friday at 7:20 a.m.

“As light rains starts to increase this morning, a shallow layer of below-freezing temperatures is predicted to last for a few hours in the Upper Hood River Valley. Up until 900–1000 PST, light freezing rain is predicted in the vicinity of Parkdale and Odell. This morning’s 0.02-0.08-inch light ice accumulations might affect travel and cause slick conditions. The weather agency advises drivers to exercise caution when driving on slippery roads because they are hard to spot and can catch them off guard.
