Indeed, we grieve for the amazing individuals who passed away in the last year (26 prominent Oregonians who passed away in 2024 influenced politics, science, food, and culture, Dec. 26). We feel a tremendous feeling of loss, and they provided us with a great deal of inspiration. However, it serves as a reminder that nobody is immortal. We must value everyone we encounter in today’s world. A kind remark or a smile can have a profound impact on someone’s life.
