Update: Air stagnation advisory for Central Douglas County and Eastern Curry County and Josephine County until Friday morning

The National Weather Service issued a revised air stagnation advisory for Central Douglas County, Eastern Curry County, and Josephine County on Thursday at 11:32 p.m., which is in effect until Friday at 10 a.m.

“Poor air quality will continue,” the weather service continues. An inversion and stagnant air near the surface are to blame for this, as they will continue to trap pollutants.

“Driving conditions could be dangerous due to low visibility in fog. People with respiratory conditions may experience difficulty due to poor air quality, the weather agency said. “When it comes to dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air, people with respiratory illnesses should heed their doctors’ recommendations. Use your headlights, slow down, and give yourself plenty of space if you’re driving.
