Oregon Ducks football scholarship chart

Eugene Oregon was expected to have 85 scholarship players in 2024.

Every time the Ducks make a roster change—a player graduating, entering the NFL draft, transferring, getting cut, leaving the program, or committing to a recruit—we’ll update this chart.

Oregon is expected to have 84 scholarship players in 2025. It is anticipated that the Big Ten and SEC would continue to offer 85 scholarships, but roster limitations will drop from 125 to 105 starting in 2025–2026, contingent on the resolution of the House v. NCAA case.

The scholarship table for early 2025 is predicated on many baseline assumptions:

Twelve seniors: two redshirt* seventh-year students, five sixth-year students, one fifth-year student, two redshirt students, two true students, and three walk-on specialists – Theran Johnson transferred from Northwestern, Isaiah World transferred from Nevada, Alex Harkey transferred from Texas State, Malik Benson transferred from Florida State, and Matthew Bedford requested a medical hardship waiver. George Silva, Kobe Savage, and Jamaree Caldwell all kept their one-year eligibility after the Diego Pavia court injunction and NCAA waiver, and Silva declared his intention to return. The NFL draft is automatically open to Noah Whittington, Gary Bryant Jr., Bedford, Caldwell, Savage, and Silva, but they can choose not to participate. Josh Conerly Jr., Derrick Harmon, and Jordan James all declared for the NFL draft. Evan Stewart returns after Bryce Boettcher receives an NCAA waiver for his fourth football season of eligibility.

Juniors: 17 (1 true, 9 redshirt, 1 sixth-year) Bear Alexander transferred from USC, Makhi Hughes transferred from Tulane, Dillon Thieneman transferred from Purdue, and Emarrion Winston (Baylor) and Khamari Terrell entered the transfer portal.

17 sophomores (15 walk-on specialists, 2 true, and 15 redshirt) – Jamari Johnson is moving from Louisville, and Jaeden Moore, Tyler Kinsman, and Grant Meadors from Sacramento State have logged into the transfer portal.

38 freshmen (20 true, 18 redshirt, and 3 walk-on specialists) Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele transferred to Cal; Dallas Wilson was freed from his financial aid agreement and signed with Florida; JacQawn McRoy (Arkansas), Jaxson Jones (Utah), Tyler Turner (Baylor), and Ryan Pellum entered the transfer portal.

2025 is expected to include 84 scholarship players, 22 signees (1 PWO, 1 2026 enrollee, Dallas Wilson released, Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele transferred to Cal), and 10 pledges (10 + 2024 signee + 2025 signee).
