Oregon State offensive lineman Flavio Gonzalez plans transfer to Arizona

Flavio Gonzalez, an offensive lineman for Oregon State, declared his transfer to Arizona on Wednesday.

Gonzalez, a fifth-year senior who started ten games at right guard for the Beavers in 2024, was not eligible to attend college. However, Gonzalez’s career was prolonged by a recent NCAA waiver that permits students who are ineligible after this school to attend a junior college.

A few days after the waiver decision, Gonzalez, who stands 6 feet 5 and weighs 293 pounds, entered his name in the transfer portal.

Gonzalez transferred from Butler CC to play at Oregon State for three years. Gonzalez participated in all 12 of the previous season’s games, totaling 20. When Tyler Voltin suffered a season-ending knee injury on September 7 against San Diego State previous season, he took over as the starting right guard.

Along with Joshua Gray, Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, and Grant Starck, Gonzalez is one of four senior starting offensive linemen that Oregon State is trying to replace.
