Jack Kane, a rising senior safety, will return for the 2025 season, strengthening Oregon State’s defensive secondary experience.
A source told The Oregonian/OregonLive that Kane, a four-year Beaver and former walk-on, intends to complete his senior year. Kane didn’t declare his intention to return and isn’t active on social media.
The five-foot-ten Kane has participated in 31 games at Oregon State, 12 of which were in 2024. During the previous season, Kane caused a fumble, made 32 tackles, and had two interceptions. Over his career, Kane has 57 tackles and nine starts.
Ten of OSU’s defensive backs, including Kane, are returning for the upcoming campaign as juniors or seniors. In 2025, the Beavers will have a secondary that started 40 games last fall.
