Prior to leaving UO to take a position as senior deputy commissioner of sports management and championships at the Pac-12, Peterson was the vice president for Olympic competition for the Big 12 Conference from 2011 to 2012. She takes over for departing COO Eric Roedl, who was appointed Villanova’s athletic director last month.
