According to authorities, a man lost his life on Sunday when his Ford F150 pickup truck struck a post in southwest Beaverton.
According to a Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue spokeswoman, rescue personnel were called at approximately 6:30 p.m. regarding a collision in a residential area close to Southwest Erickson Avenue and Berthold Street.
Beaverton police said that 68-year-old James Poole perished in the collision and stated that they think a medical incident caused it.
The deadly collision occurred the day after Portland’s first traffic death of the year, when a driver in North Portland lost his life after colliding his vehicle with a pole.
