Portland weekend weather: Showers and rain

The Portland region appears to be in for a rainy weekend.

The National Weather Service says there is a 100% chance of rain later in the day and a chance of showers before 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. Rainfall of up to 1/2 inch is anticipated. About 50 degrees will be the high.

Up to another 1/4 inch of rain is predicted for Saturday night, along with further showers. It will drop to roughly 46 degrees.

On Sunday, there will probably be showers in the morning and rain in the afternoon. There is a chance of up to 1/4 more rain. The National Weather Service says the high will be around 50.

It appears like the sun will rise on Monday. With a high in the low 50s, partly sunny skies are predicted for the remainder of the day, with the possibility of showers in the morning.

Through Thursday, the extended forecast predicts largely sunny or partly sunny conditions.
