Oregon State linebacker Melvin Jordan transferring to Georgia Tech

Melvin Jordan IV, a former Oregon State inside linebacker, announced his transfer to Georgia Tech on Sunday, marking a new home for him.

Jordan started ten games for the Beavers this past season after playing for Oregon State for three years. Jordan attended high school in St. Petersburg and grew up in Florida, so he is familiar with Georgia Tech.

Jordan is the third member of Oregon State’s 2024 roster to use the transfer site to look for a new school, all of whom are Power 4 institutions. Other players include offensive lineman Luka Vincic (Michigan State) and cornerback Andre Jordan Jr. (UCLA).

Jordan finished third with 45 tackles, behind Chisom and safety Skyler Thomas.

Jordan joined Isaiah Chisom as one of the two starting inside linebackers that OSU lost to the portal. Over the weekend, USC’s Raesjon Davis revealed that he is moving to Oregon State, which helped the Beavers.
