Oregon State gets more defensive line help with a Nebraska transfer commitment

When Nebraska defensive end Kai Wallen committed to Oregon State on Sunday, the Beavers continued their pre-Christmas recruiting success in the transfer portal.

Over the last four days, Wallen has transferred to pledge to Oregon State. Along with Walker Harris of Southern Utah and Tah-jae Mullix of Western Carolina, Wallen, who paid a visit to OSU this past weekend, is one of three transfer additions to the defensive front.

After moving from American River JC in Sacramento, Wallen played at Nebraska for two years. Wallen saw action in 11 games this past season after redshirting in 2023 despite playing four games.

When Wallen was a junior college prospect, Oregon State was one of the colleges that made an offer. Schools that were interested in Wallen included Kansas, Indiana, Washington State, Louisville, and Arizona State.

Since the portal opened on December 9, Wallen is the tenth player to commit to a transfer to Oregon State.
