Homes at or under $500,000 on northern Oregon coast, Dec. 9 to 15

Between December 9 and December 15, prospective homebuyers contemplating the real estate market had a variety of possibilities in different neighborhoods around the region. This article describes recent sales of real estate along the northern Oregon coast, all of which included residences priced under $500,000.

The top six properties in each neighborhood are listed below, selected for their closest proximity to the desired price range and the largest living areas.

Although a property may have sold earlier, the properties listed below are for real estate sales for which the title was recorded during the week of December 9.

1. $500K, 3 bedrooms / 2 baths

This single-family home with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, located in the 61000 block of N.W. Cochran Rd., Timber, sold for $500,000 in December, or $285 per square foot. Built in 1981, the property occupies 1.8 acres and has 1,755 square feet of living space. On December 6, the agreement was concluded.

2. $497K, 2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom

Built in 1900 and situated in the 37700 block of Parker Lane, Astoria, the single-family home sold in December for $497,000 ($248 per square foot). The house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a total living area of 2,004 square feet. A 0.5-acre lot makes up the property. On December 6, the agreement was concluded.

3. $484K, 3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms

Built in 2023 and located in the 700 block of Quail Glenn Dr., Philomath, this detached home sold for $484,000 (or $294 per square foot) in December. The house has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 1,648 square feet of living space. The land is 5,663 square feet in size. On December 3, the agreement was concluded.

4. $475K, 2 bedrooms / 2 baths

When it sold in November, the detached home in Naselle’s first block of Whealdon Road, at $475,000 ($270 per square foot), provided still another opportunity below the desired price range. Situated on a 20.9-acre lot, this 1981-built home boasts 1,760 square feet of living space, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. On November 27, the agreement was concluded.

5. $460K, 4 bedrooms / 1 bathroom

In December, the ownership of this single-family home with four bedrooms and one bathroom changed. The 1,512-square-foot house, which is situated in the 24000 block of Highway 20 in Philomath, sold for $460,000, or $304 per square foot. The property was constructed in 1952 and is situated on a 0.9-acre lot. On December 3, the agreement was concluded.

6. $445K, 4 bedrooms / 1 bath

A detached home in Blodgett’s 36800 block of Happy Hollow Road with four bedrooms and one bathroom had a change of ownership in December. This 1,436-square-foot property was constructed in 1943 and sold for $445,000, or $310 per square foot. The lot is 1.2 acres in size. On December 3, the agreement was concluded.
