USC defensive lineman Bear Alexander transfers to Oregon Ducks

Along their defensive line, the Oregon Ducks have significant potential and added size.

Keithian Bear Alexander, a defensive lineman for USC, declared his intention to transfer to Oregon on Friday evening. The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Alexander, a four-star transfer recruit who was ranked by 247Sports as the fourth-best defensive linemen in the nation, arrives at Oregon following one season with the Trojans and one with Georgia.

After a successful year that earned him a spot on the all-Pac-12 first team in 2023, Alexander chose to sit out what would have been his actual junior season with USC in 2024 because of conflicts over playing time. Top programs, like Penn State, courted him once he entered the gateway. He is still eligible for two more years.

Before accepting the head coaching position with the Ducks, Oregon coach Dan Lanning assisted Alexander in recruiting to Georgia. Lanning will give the youthful bull-rusher a chance to start over after his turbulent collegiate career in Eugene.
