Oregon State adds to its defense with Southern Utah OLB Walker Harris

Late in the morning on Thursday, Oregon State secured a third transfer commitment, putting more players on their 2025 football roster.

Walker Harris, an outside linebacker from Southern Utah, became the second defensive player to declare a transfer to OSU in the last week when he committed to the Beavers.

Brigham Young tight end Jackson Bowers and Duke quarterback Maalik Murphy both committed to transfer schools earlier Thursday.

With one year of eligibility left, Harris, a 6-foot-5, 250-pound senior, finished the 2024 season with 28 tackles, four for losses, and two sacks for Southern Utah. Harris, a native of North Carolina, transferred from the University of Sioux Falls to SUU before the 2023 season. Harris recorded 35 tackles in 16 games while playing at USF.

Six transfers have been made at Oregon State in December. In addition to Murphy, Bowers, and Harris, the Beavers also signed defensive tackle Tah-jae Mullix from Western Carolina and offensive linemen JT Hand from Arizona and Keyon Cox from Western Carolina.
