Between December 9 and December 15, prospective homebuyers contemplating the real estate market had a variety of possibilities in different neighborhoods around the region. This article lists recent Portland metro area real estate sales, all of which included properties under $500,000.

The top six properties in each neighborhood are listed below, selected for their closest proximity to the desired price range and the largest living areas.

Although a property may have sold earlier, the properties listed below are for real estate sales for which the title was recorded during the week of December 9.

1. $500K, 2 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms

This detached home, located in the 17200 block of S.E. Oatfield Rd., Portland, was built in 1930 and sold in December for $500,000, or $147 per square foot. The house has three bathrooms, two bedrooms, and 3,392 square feet of living space. A 1.0-acre lot makes up the property. On December 3, the agreement was concluded.

2. $500K, 4 bedrooms / 2 baths

This single-family home with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, located in Oregon City’s 1400 block of Jackson St., sold for $500,000 in December, or $185 per square foot. Built in 1927, the house has 2,708 square feet of living space and is situated on a 6,603-square-foot lot. On December 4, the agreement was concluded.

Another option below the targeted price range was the single-family home in the 9400 block of N.E. Schuyler St., Portland, which sold in December for $500,000 ($243 per square foot). Situated on a 9,091-square-foot lot, this property was constructed in 2016 and has 2,061 square feet of living area. On December 3, the agreement was concluded.

The house has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 1,755 square feet of living space. A 1.8-acre parcel makes up the property. On December 6, the agreement was concluded.

5. $500K, 2 bedrooms / 1 bath

In December, the ownership of this detached home with two bedrooms and one bathroom changed. The 1,529-square-foot house, which is situated in Vancouver’s 1400 block of N.W. 89th St., sold for $500,000, or $327 per square foot. The property was constructed in 1976 and is situated on an 8,779-square-foot lot. On December 6, the agreement was concluded.

In December, a detached house, with two bedrooms and two baths, located in the 8300 block of N.E. Brazee St., Portland, changed ownership. The property, covering 1,434 square feet, was built in 2016 and was sold for $500,000, which calculates to $349 per square foot. The total area of the land is 4,500 square feet. On December 6, the agreement was concluded.
