A 35-year-old man in Northwest Portland was taken into custody by police after he allegedly tried to meet a 14-year-old girl in a nearby park.
According to the authorities, Samuel Digiovanni used a social media platform to communicate with the girl online for a few weeks before starting to text her. The police claimed that Digiovanni planned to take her to his house after he attempted to meet her at a nearby park.
According to police, tactical squads assisted the Child Abuse Team and the Internet Crimes Against Children section in executing a search and arrest warrant in Northwest Portland.
Allegations of luring a juvenile, online child corruption, attempted rape, attempted sodomy, and attempting to employ a child in the presentation of sexually graphic behavior led to Digiovanni’s arrest.
There was no other information available at the moment. Please refer to case number 24-802571 and email Detective Angela Hollan at [email protected] if you have any information about Digiovanni or this case.
