Our political differences are a major source of anxiety these days, but the good news isn’t always shared. Rep. and Sen.-Elect John Curtis of Utah gave a kind speech to The Citizens Climate Lobby volunteers at our national conference on December 7. He described how he came to see the importance of bipartisan climate collaboration because to nonpartisan climate campaigners.
In order to enable Republicans to advance climate policies that encourage private sector innovation for more affordable, dependable, and clean energy and lower global carbon emissions, Curtis formed the Conservative Climate Caucus. Rep. Cliff Bentz of Oregon and vice chair Lori Chavez-DeRemer are among the caucus’s 87 members.
Promoting sustainable energy, energy independence, and a stable climate is something that each of us can do. Take a moment to express gratitude to your political officials for their support of policies and request that they continue to back bipartisan solutions.
