Best Ashton Jeanty prop bets for Boise State vs. UNLV: Another Heisman-worthy performance?

Of the five teams, Boise State and UNLV have the best chances of qualifying for the College Football Playoffs. Thus, the game tonight is an unofficial CFP elimination contest.

Ashton Jeanty, the top running back for the Broncos, is at the center of it all. I’ve highlighted two of my top Ashton Jeanty prop picks for Boise State vs. UNLV because of the Heisman hopeful’s incredible stat lines.

I usually concentrate on players from both teams when I write articles about player prop predictions. But this time, Jeanty is receiving attention due to his incredible prop betting odds and totals.

Expert Ashton Jeanty prop bets for Boise State vs. UNLV

  • Over 190.5 rushing yards:

Jeanty to score 2+ touchdowns

The best odds at DraftKings are -145.

If you want to take a chance and wager on Jeanty to score three or more touchdowns, DraftKings offers +205 odds. In four of six games, Ashton has found the end zone three times or more.

A running back like Jeanty gives Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen, who has 12 touchdowns and is third in the Mountain West, more opportunities. Ashton is the Broncos’ go-to player in the red zone, having scored 18 touchdowns.

But it’s possible that UNLV’s defense may overcommit to Jeanty, which would allow Madsen to throw a couple more touchdowns. I’m taking Jeanty to find the end zone twice in order to be safe.

In all but one game, the Jacksonville native has scored multiple touchdowns. Jeanty only received 11 carries during Boise State’s 56-14 victory over Portland State, which was an anomaly.

Against the rush, UNLV’s defense is ranked 20th in the country. The Rebels give up 3.4 yards per carry and the fewest average points in the Mountain West.

However, due to a few decisive wins by the 6-1 Rebels, UNLV hasn’t been put to the test on the field very much. UNLV won four of its seven games by a margin of 16 points or more.

The conference’s second-fewest rushing attempts have been defended by the Rebels. The Rebels can anticipate seeing Jeanty carry the rock early and often because of the Mountain West Championship and the game’s significance for the CFP.

Over 190.5 rushing yards

The best odds at Fanatics are -115.

Boise State’s opponent this season is UNLV’s second-best offense. No. 1 Oregon is the only team that is ahead of the Rebels.

UNLV has a fantastic running attack and averages 44 points per game. Jeanty will have less time to surpass his rushing yards prop if the Rebels are moving the ball on lengthy, clock-chewing drives.

Alternatively, Jeanty could reach his running total if UNLV keeps the game close.

Four of the Broncos’ victories have been by a margin of at least 21 points. Because there was no justification for leaving Jeanty in and running the risk of injury, he did not receive a full workload in several of those games.

I think this game will be close because UNLV is a great squad. Based on the three-point spread in favor of Boise State, the oddsmakers predict a close game.

Jeanty should play in each of the four quarters, and I think he’ll get more than 190.5 yards.

Only twice has Ashton been held below 190 yards. In both games, Boise State won handily, although Jeanty did not play the full four quarters.
